Mitacs-CALAREO Globalink Research Award –Inbound/Outbound

OPEN CALL – apply at least 4 months before the desired start date

Under the Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) program,  eligible undergraduates, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows can apply for funding for a research stay of 3-6 months in duration. Proposals are for student-driven research projects  under the supervision of a faculty member at a host institution.

Funding: CAD 6,000; can be combined with other funding.

Country eligibility: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

Participating CALAREO member institutions: Vancouver Island University, Lakehead University, Carleton University, or Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Outbound awards are for full-time students/post-docs enrolled at participating CALAREO member institutions (regardless of citizenship) to conduct research at an institution in an eligible Latin American country.

Inbound awards are available for full-time students/post-docs from eligible Latin American countries to conduct research in Canada at a participating CALAREO member institution.

Applications can be accepted year-round, but each member institution may have its own internal competition and deadlines.
